KFOK Community Radio broadcasts community events, meeting notifications and public-service announcements throughout the day as a public service to the residents of the Georgetown Divide and beyond. We also list Art, Music & Entertainment events below the following section about submitting announcements.

We are happy to announce information about upcoming local events and public service announcements on the air and on the Community Calendar below.

Print out, complete, and mail the form to:

You are welcome to complete the PSA form on your computer and email it as an attachment instead. You may also include a press release with the form, by US Mail or by email. Please submit the information at least three weeks in advance.

Information about events listed below that are not sponsored by the American River Folk Society and KFOK Community Radio is subject to change. Confirm that any event listing below is valid before attending the event by contacting the sponsor.

EVERY AUGUST
The American River Acoustic Music Camp is a premier annual music camp in northern California that is diverse, educational, inspirational, and memorable. The camp embraces all aspects of acoustic string music and will strive to light the flames of creativity in a way that is positive and, above all, fun! In-depth classes will be offered in acoustic blues guitar, flatpicking, rhythm guitar, fingerpicking, resonator guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, songwriting, and rhythm. GEORGETOWN DIVIDE RECREATION DISTRICT – Board of Directors – Board meetings are held in the District Office the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm. Regional Park planning meetings are held the 2nd Thursday; Greenwood Park planning meetings are held the 1st Thursday, and Garden Valley expansion planning meetings are held the 3rd Monday.     Wow – the new format is really really really nice. Easy on the eyes and on the mind. One thing you might want to do is to add a link to the PSA submission form. It is mentioned at the top of the page, but damned if I can find it. Just some fine tuning. Congrats to the website committee. Buzz

    Where can a PSA submission form be found? This sounds like a great idea. I am associated with KGGV and admire this option and would like to see this option on our blog page.

  3. I know it’s late..but this was just posted in Amador County for their Mardi Gras Celebration this weekend. Proceeds used to help rebuild the old School House in Downtown Sutter Creek..
